Anybody know about using a CRV pressure plate in a normal vtec?
Read a post on Honda Racing and they say it's a excellent mod?

I have a CR-V pressure plate in my B16a and it seems to work well.
Pedal feel NOT compromised at all.

Had a B16a clutch disc with it and it is very nice for daily/street. The clutched never slipped.

I use my car on the track though and shredded it after a couple of track sessions. I replaced the stock disc with an ACT Heavy Duty clutch disk coupled with the same cr-v pressure plate. My clutch is BEAUTIFUL. It grips very strong.

I would recommend replacing a stock pressure plate with a cr-v unit. It costs much the same, about R940. It is a direct replacement so it bolts up identically to the B16a unit.

My stocker when I bought the car I recon was still the original at 158k km!!! *shock* *horror*

I then put in the crv plate with stock disc and it lasted me about 10-15k km. But bear in mind this was hard track, street and drag. Track really wears down your cars components alot faster than street since you constantly driving hard not allowing any time to cool down...

I was coming out a hairpin after a 1km straight and it just let go completely. One side of the disc just sheered right off.

Bottom right you can see the fluff and strips what was once a clutch pad
